1. Who we are

TeachPro ("we," "us," "our") is operated by As IF. Marketing, trading as TeachPro (ABN: 26 982 035 216), based in Queensland, Australia. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the TeachPro web application.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (encrypted), payment details (processed by Stripe, see below).
• Content you create: lesson plans, tasks, notes, and gradebook entries you input, including any student names and grades you choose to enter.
• Usage data: how you interact with TeachPro (pages visited, features used, login times), collected to improve the product.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain your TeachPro account
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To communicate with you about your account, billing, or product updates
• To improve TeachPro's features based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information or the student data you enter to third parties.

4. Third-party services we use

• Stripe, payment processing. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details: stripe.com/privacy
• Vercel and Supabase, host our application and database infrastructure

5. Student data, your responsibility as a teacher

If you enter student names, grades, or other identifying information into TeachPro, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate authority (e.g. from your school, parents, or guardians) to store that information in a third-party tool, in line with your school's own data policies and any applicable privacy law. TeachPro stores this data securely but is not a party to your relationship with your students or their guardians.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and encrypted password storage. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 14 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

8. Overseas storage and disclosure

Some of the third-party providers we use to host and process data, including Vercel and Supabase, may store or process personal information on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

9. Children's information

TeachPro is intended for use by teachers and school staff, not by children. Where a teacher enters student names or grades, that information is provided and controlled by the teacher, not collected directly from children by us. See section 5 for teachers' responsibilities around student data.

10. Marketing communications

We may send you product updates or offers by email. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails; you'll still receive essential account and billing notices.

11. Your rights and complaints

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting info@teachpro.app or asifmarketing.com. Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Cookies

TeachPro uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
